![]() ![]() Overall, the Mayans are a mighty civilization with a strong and simple game plan consisting of mass archers backed by a strong economy. Lastly, their swordsman line lacks the Champion upgrade and Supplies. The lack of Cannon Galleons leaves their navy without the ability to take down enemy fortifications. These, combined with the lack of Redemption, mean that the Mayans have very few answers to enemy Onagers. The Mayans lack any form of cavalry and gunpowder. However, the Mayans have several notable weaknesses. They have a great early-game bonus in an additional Villager, a strong long-term bonus in their longer-lasting resources, and team bonus makes it much easier for them to fully wall themselves and protect their economy. The Mayans' other great strength is their ability to boom. To support their archers, the Mayans have fully upgraded Halberdiers and Elite Eagle Warriors, the latter greatly appreciating El Dorado's +40 hit points. The Plumed Archer, the Mayan unique unit, is a more durable and faster version of the standard archer. Their Archer-line units get a 10%/20%/30% discount in the Feudal/Castle/Imperial Age, while their Skirmishers get an additional projectile with Hul'che Javelineers. ![]() One of the greatest strengths of the Mayans is their archers.
